Year in Review, 2005
In our modern age of petty materialism and baseless superficiality, the holiday season for many is too often marked by long lines, pointless presents, and ostentatious overindulgence. For me, this time has always been a brief respite from the trials and tribulations of everyday life; a time to relax, reflect, and re-energize. It also represents an opportunity for me to take some time out of my busy schedule to reach out to friends and family -- something I do not do enough of during most of the year.
With those thoughts in mind, and since it has been my custom to produce yearly reviews, I decided this year to institute an annual winter holiday e-card that would formalize the process. For the few I see routinely, this maybe redundant; for the many I do not see often enough, I hope it gives you a brief look into the happenings of my life.
Rather than replicate the effort of writing yet another holiday message, I have simply reproduced the e-mail I sent to family and friends making my card available. If you did not receive one (and are actually someone I know in real life), feel free to contact me -- I probably have an old/outdated e-mail address for you; either that, or I just don't like you very much.
Subject: Happy Holidays from Rohit! I've been receiving holiday greetings from people for numerous years now, and thought that now that I'm out of college and officially old, I might as well reciprocate. To view my holiday e-Card, simply go to the following URL: http://www.rohitnafday.net/ecards/2005/ I hope this e-mail finds you well, and that you have a restful and enjoyable holiday vacation.
