Drowning In Shit

Ever had that feeling of complete and utter hopelessness? No, I'm not talking about depression and I'm definitely not suicidal. But with the beginning of this week, I had so much backlog of homework, emails, forms, paperwork, programming, reading, and writing to do, that I felt like I was literally drowning. But it wasn't a relatively nice feeling of drowning, where I was submerged in water. Nope. Instead, it was a feeling of drowning in a viscous substance, like quicksand or mud, where try as a I might, movement only worsened my situation. But to make matters worse, a lot of the stuff that I had to do was just inane nonsense and thus I arrive upon the title of my entry, Drowning in Shit.

Lifestyles of the Perennially Pathetic

I have found a new population of people to target my wrath at for today. It's ok - I'm sure most you hate them as well, so this should not be a very controversial entry. Then again, maybe some of you folks out there are actually the type of people I am going to write about, and then you will be upset, because I called you out on your despicable behavior. Either way, something had to be said, and I am just the guy to say it.

Just My Three Cents

Anyone ever encountered a three cent stamp? I have. In fact, I have a whole pile on my desk right now. A pile of paper that is WORTHLESS. Beyond worthless - and yet it cost me money. And will rot in a compost heap somewhere when I get around to throwing it away. That's right. I'm talking about the completely and utterly useless crap that the US Postal Service likes to call the "stamp."

12'' of Pure Sex Appeal

In case I haven't mentioned it yet (and I probably have not, given how this week is coming along), I purchased a new Apple PowerBook 12'', 10 GB iPod and a HP printer I didn't even need. The total came out to be $2009.12. Yeah, I know I have a problem and I need to stop spending so much money. But, I don't think you guys understand how much I like my new computer!

Do Not Go Gentle Into That [Bad] Night

I'm sure all of you have read the famous poem by Dylan Thomas, Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night. If you haven't, the basic gist of the poem is (and correct me if I'm wrong, English majors) that it rejects Alfred Lord Tennyson's notion of softly dying, as expressed in his poem, Crossing the Bar. Now, I know what you're thinking: what the hell does this have to do with anything and thanks for that little bit of info, Rohit, you stupid ass. But bear with me—I'm going to make a point.
